Challenge

There were two challenges in creating the invitation for The Resource Foundation’s annual fundraising event. The first, is that this year, the event was changing its venue from Westchester, the suburbs of New York City, where it had been held for many years, to Manhattan. The fear was in losing their loyal base of loyal supporters. Their other challenge was in attracting a younger audience.

Solution

To address these needs, we designed the invitation using the organization’s logo, colors, and graphic elements to help current donors recognize the event as benefitting The Resource Center. The ripple elements that comprise the logo for this nonprofit are weaved through the numbers to create the connection.To attract a younger audience, we created a bold look for the design of the invitation with large numbers set at an angle. Recognizing that the invitation was an opportunity to promote the good work and impact of the organization, we featured statistics about the number of people helped through the various organizations that the Resource Foundations funds. For the back of the invitation, we wrote a description focusing on the unique strengths of the organization and its impact on the people in South America.

The invitation has been receiving a great response and very positive feedback from recipients.
