Marketing Campaign Promotes Conference for the Nonprofit Sector

When the state-wide association in New Jersey was ready to start up their annual conference after several years’ haitus, they turned to Red Rooster Group to provide direction the theme, branding and promotion.

We knew that getting nonprofits to pay money for a conference in the first year of the recession would be a tough sell. With the theme “Ready, Set Recover: Succeeding a New Landscape,” we presented the conference as a place to re-group and get advice to plan for a year of reduced revenue. We created a campaign of two postcards, as well as graphics for the Center’s website. The strategy worked, with more than 200 people attending the conference, a full slate of sponsors and exhibitors.

The following year, in 2010, the theme “New Jersey Non-Profits, Standing Strong, Standing Together,” presented the conference as a place for the NJ nonprofits to organize and advocate collectively for their needs.
