Howard Adam Levy, Principal of Red Rooster Group, conducted a 3 hour seminar on websites today at the Support Center for Nonprofit Management in New York City. The workshop helped nonprofit executives to address the steps needed to create an effective site. The session covered:

  • Branding and why it is important to articulate your mission clearly before attempting to upgrade your website.
  • Understanding your audiences and their needs and developing the site around those needs rather than your organizational structure.
  • Understanding the role your website plays in the marketing mix and how it can serve as the hub of support for all of your marketing objectives.

The second half of the workshop provided a hands-on critique of the participants websites, with the participants providing feedback based on the concepts covered in the first half.

The session was very well received and Howard was asked to speak at the Support Center again.
